Matt Tyler
Executive Director – Community and Systems Impact and The Men’s Project
Matt Tyler leads The Men’s Project at Jesuit Social Services, working with a team committed to providing leadership on the reduction of violence and other harmful behaviours prevalent among men and boys. Matt has previously worked as a Fellow for Harvard’s Government Performance Lab focused on child protection and he has also previously worked on reforms to family violence services and child protection in Australia. He is a Harvard Kennedy School and Monash University graduate with a Master of Public Policy and Honours in Economics
Jeremy Prichard
Professor of Law, University of Tasmania
Jeremy teaches Criminal Law at the University of Tasmania Law School. His professional life has been committed to improving strategies to prevent, understand, and respond to crimes against children and other vulnerable people. He has significant experience in managing teams of researchers on sensitive projects, including child sexual abuse material. In 2023, Jeremy was appointed as the Director of the Tasmania Law Reform Institute.
Georgia Naldrett
Clinical Manager – Stop It Now! Australia – Jesuit Social Services
Georgia applies her psychological and practice knowledge of sexual offending and child protection to work in innovative ways to prevent child sexual abuse, including leading the Stop It Now! Australia Helpline. Georgia is a psychology graduate with a Masters in Forensic Psychology and Honours in psychology, and has previously worked in child sexual abuse prevention initiatives overseas at The Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
Joel Scanlan
Senior Lecturer, University of Tasmania
Dr Scanlan teaches cybersecurity and privacy at the University of Tasmania. He has been teaching and consulting with the industry for 20 years. His primary research interests relate to the technical and social harms of the internet, with a particular focus on child exploitation prevention, cybersecurity and machine learning. He has worked on a range of projects related to child protection and online safety with organisations in Australia and Europe, including partnerships with large technology companies aimed at disrupting harmful behaviours occurring on their platforms.
Rachael Jones
Senior Advisor – Project Management, Jesuit Social Services
With a passion for cross-sector collaboration, Rachael brings deep expertise in program development and delivery in government, corporate, and purpose driven settings. Guided by a solutions mindset, she has collaborated with industry stakeholders across global technology, financial services, utilities, construction, and public administration to drive targeted initiatives that align company strategy with positive impact. A pragmatic and strategic thinker, Rachael is committed to working with others to develop practical solutions that address complex social challenges and contribute to a safer digital environment for children.
Richard Wortley
Professor of Criminology, University of Waikato, Te Puna Haumaru New Zealand Institute for Security and Crime Science
Richard is a Professor at the University of Waikato and an Emeritus Professor of Security and Crime Science at University College London’s Jill Dando Institute. He began his career as a prison psychologist in Australia, then transitioned to academia. He has published extensively on topics including corrections and sexual offending, and pioneered applying situational prevention methods to combat child sexual abuse. For his significant contributions to criminology and psychology, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.
